The Minnesota regional NAWCC Chapter meets the third Saturday of odd-numbered calendar months at various restaurants around the Twin Cities metro area.

PROGRAM: Tom McIntyre will present “Designing a Museum Exhibit – The McIntyre Watch Company of Kankakee, Illinois”
The McIntyre Watch Co. had a very brief period of existence from its incorporation in 1911 until the closing in 1913. Fred McIntyre and Charles DeLong designed a new watch with several important patent improvements and promoted the concept of a new factory to produce high grade watches. Through surviving artifacts: a prototype of an elegant patent model watch and a watch made from scratch by Fred McIntyre, two magnificent watches to show the new design made by Charles DeLong, and the ink on linen drawings in support of the manufacturing process as well as the stock of ebauches and work in process materials are currently in a combined collection belonging to Tom McIntyre and Bruce McIntyre, the grandson of Fred McIntyre.
