The program will be a meeting at Blackstone Manor Clock Repair, with Mark Purdy showing us the inner workings of a clock repair storefront shop and a look at all the clocks he has for sale.
The program will be a tour of the Goodsell Observatory and a couple other stops to see clocks and other equipment.We'll meet in Anderson Hall, room 121 before moving on to the Goodsell Observatory.
Steve Franke will be presenting “1558 To Bush, or Not To Bush?” The Sympathetic Restoration of a French Renaissance timepiece. Steve discusses the technical and philosophical questions that are evoked when working on a piece of extraordinary rarity.
Several members of the MHS will be giving presentations on clocks or watches they have restored.
The Great Lakes Horological Society will have their annual meeting at Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Speakers are being assembled for clock and watch topics. Contact Us for more information!
TJ Cornish will give a presentation on using multimeters to troubleshoot electric clocks. Topics covered will be AC and DC measurement, continuity/resistance, and some practical tests to get you on the road to solving the issue with your clock.
