Join us for a private tour of the historic Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. This is a hands-on tour of the best scientific venue that doesn’t require a plane to travel to. Yerkes Observatory features the world’s largest refractive telescope and was home to Carl Sagan, Edwin Hubble, and George Hale. not to mention three exceptional astronomical clocks!
Yerkes is about 4 hours from Minneapolis. Affordable lodging is available, and other horological sites are around for you to make a weekend out of the trip, including the Elgin museum, many tower clocks in Milwaukee, the House on the Rock, and other attractions.
