DESCRIPTION:Our O. T. Lang Chapter 20 September 11th meeting (Second Saturday) will be My Favorite Clock/Watch/Tool. This is where members can share their collecting passion with the group. We invite members to talk about something special from their collection. Maybe you could talk about something that got away at an auction? … and let the group know to keep an eye open in case another opportunity comes along. You could talk about just one item or a group of items. This could be something you picked up recently or maybe it was your first piece. We would love to know more about what you collect. Each presenter can talk for 5 to 10 minutes about their favorite horological item. We would like each person to supply 2 to 4 images (JPEG format is best) so that we can project the images during your talk. Please contact us to arrange to talk at the September meeting. We would like to see some new faces at this year’s presentation. \nWe are also looking for a member with a laptop computer who is willing to handle projecting the images on the day of the meeting. If you can help\, please contact us. \nLastly\, we are looking for a member to help with the January restoration program. \nMore details to follow..

Fred McIntyre and Charles DeLong designed a new watch with several important patent improvements and promoted the concept of a new factory to produce high grade watches. Through surviving artifacts: a prototype of an elegant patent model watch and a watch made from scratch by Fred McIntyre\, two magnificent watches to show the new design made by Charles DeLong\, and the ink on linen drawings in support of the manufacturing process as well as the stock of ebauches and work in process materials are currently in a combined collection belonging to Tom McIntyre and Bruce McIntyre\, the grandson of Fred McIntyre.                        \nAll reservations must be received by November 9\, 2019 \n  \n            Make checks payable to “OTL Chapter 20” \nRESERVATIONS:  Indicate the number of dinners below and send a check payable to O. This month the group is taking a boat cruise near Red Wing\, MN. \nThere is no parking at the boat.
